What a month!

I apologize for the month of no posts! It has been a little hectic around here and there has been plenty of things to post about, but honestly, I haven't caught my breath yet! We have had hospital stays, Mother's Day, tutu making, and end of school activities....all which are fantastic stories! Today's post will just be about the hospital stay so I can keep it short! :-)

A couple of weeks ago Emma was just not feeling well at all, and then....the fever! So I took "priss" to the Dr. and he did blood work and gave her a good once over (enter lot's of screaming) and said everything looked fine. Well that was until he got the blood results. Her blood work was a little crazy! He said she looked great but her white blood cell count was high so he wanted her to come back in the next morning and do another stick to check her blood again to see if it was any different!

We came back the next morning and it was still high. She had to get blood drawn from the lab...FUN!!! and it was STILL high! Because this was a FRIDAY he decided he wanted to keep her close and monitor her....so that meant a weekend in the hospital. WOOHOO!!!!

We started our stay with nurses sticking Emma and blowing veins because she was so dehydrated, Emma screaming and crying because she is terrified of all things medical, and VERY uncomfortable furniture to sit/sleep on! We were there from 8:30 Friday morning until 8:30 Sunday night! It was a very long weekend that ended with questions of what was wrong with her NOT being answered, and Emma literally banging on the windows screaming...."OUT....OUT!!"

When we left Sunday night her blood count was back up and she wasn't running a fever! We left with Boo Boo's in our arms and feet from tries for the IV's that we are still hearing about from Emma! But we are home and we are HAPPY to be here!!!

Thank you to all of you for your thoughts and prayers! I will hopefully have more posts soon!

I talked to your Dad Sunday and he said she was better. It is so hard to have a little one in the hospital. Take care!

Praying for you all. I know any thing that is a little off now, must scare you to death.

Glad she is feeling better.
